When king David was faced with a dire situation at Ziklag, (1 Sam. 30) he encouraged himself. "But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God." He stirred up God in himself. If a fire has died down and you want to start it you stir the coals and add more fuel until it comes to flame. Sometimes you blow on it. Stir up the gifts of God in your heart today, pray that the Holy Spirit would blow on you and turn you into flame of fire. God desires that you would join with Him in agreement, that you would fan the fire of the Holy Spirit in your heart to become what he has designed you to be. Our God is a consuming fire! And if we are to be like Him we need to stir the coals and be the "Flames of Fire" He has designed and called us to be! Let this word today be lighter fluid to your coals, burn bright and strong! Let your flame burn brightly so bright that darkness flees!
